The newest religion satire musical is the theatre show “The Book of Mormon.” This was the longest show to produce in an extremely long time taking it seven full years to develop and put the theatres. The show finally hit the stages and Broadway in March of 2011. The show has already one a countless number of awards with nine Tony award and even a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. The cast of the show got one of the highest charting ratings in over a decade reaching number three on the billboard charts hot 100. The music is what some say make the show. That aspect of the play is given to Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone. These three males are also the ones who came up with the play, as well as directed and plot lined it. With its great charting success many believe that this is the new Wizard of Oz and will be around for decades.
